Yeah, yeah, yeah, Broder, your baseball history is terribly significant, and a Cubs World Series would be about as miraculous as Ronald Reagan's wondrous 1980 election landslide or a Republican comeback in '08.
And sure thing, Cohen, Don DeLillo blew it in leaving you out of Underworld, and the late season collapse of a baseball team is just like the Iraq war fiasco: "Defeat is like a two-way mirror. You cannot see it but it can see you." Effing brilliant...
