More Proposition 77

• Brad Plumer links to an Oakland Tribune article on a UC Berkeley-sponsored study suggesting that Prop 77 will have a minimal effect on the balance between Democrats and Republicans in California. Unfortunately, the article is extremely vague and the study's release has been inexplicably delayed.


• The Chronicle reports on a split within the state chapter of Common Cause over the national organization's decision to endorse Prop 77. The endorsement is unfortunate, and it's obvious why state-level people are angry about it, but it's also understandable: the national organization is trying to pass measures in Ohio and Florida, and went for at least the appearance of consistency.
