Blogging About Talking About Blogging

So I spent a few hours yesterday afternoon at a panel on blogger ethics sponsored by the Barbarians (Bay Area Resident Bloggers and Readers--and yes, we actually had two readers, so the plural is appropriate). There were representatives of Blognonymous, Scaramouche, The Generic Brand, Brother Kenya's Paradigm, Ang's Weird Ideas, NorCal Politics, King of Zembla, Shysteeblog, and You Forgot Poland (apologies if I forgot anyone other than Poland). The conclusions of the panel can be summed up as follows:

  • Don't post about where you work, from work; and
  • Whore out your blog in any and every way you can possibly imagine.
At least that's what I remember, after quite a few pints. In any case, it was a most enjoyable and productive afternoon, and I feel honored to have been included.

[That's all, folks]
