Thanks to Tbogg, if 'thanks' is indeed the word, I ended up reading most of the current posts at the Corner, where Jonah Goldberg went on an extended tangent about parallel universes. He devotes quite a few posts to the subject, with occasional responses from Derbyshire. (In characteristic Jonah fashion, all of the substantive content is supplied by people e-mailing him.)
Unfortunately for Goldberg, all of his speculation is in vain, because there is one thing on which all of the parallel universe theorists agree: there is no universe even theoretically possible in which Bush can be compared to FDR, fascism is liberal and liberalism is fascist, or 'Bush hatred' is more virulent and unhinged than Clinton hatred.
Really, Jonah. Trust me on this.
In semi-related news, William Shatner announced that selling his kidney stone was "much less humiliating" than having Jonah Goldberg as a fan.
[That's all, folks]
