The Modesto Arch. We find ourselves muttering "water wealth contentment health" under our breath as we wander the streets in a daze...
Dawn in Modesto. A college friend who grew up in Los Angeles used to talk about the spectacular sunsets they had thanks to their smog. The eastern San Joaquin Valley is now smoggier than Los Angeles, and may be smoggier than Los Angeles used to be before the Clean Air Act.
Early morning in the spiffy new downtown. We keep hearing that the place is hopping on the weekends, but we have no empirical data confirming that.
This kind of landscape has always appealed to me, and Modesto has lots and lots of it.
[That's all, folks]
