Republican Whiners Strike Again

So after Congressional Republicans whined about their treatment by the Democrats--treatment far milder than they themselves had dished out when they had the majority--you may have wondered how they could possibly top that pathetic display.

Well, wonder no more. Consider the omnibus spending bill:

Many House Republicans will...oppose it, saying the measure is being rushed to the floor for a vote Wednesday without adequate time to read it and without the chance to offers changes during floor debate.

Some of the harshest criticism came from an unusual source, former Appropriations Chairman Jerry Lewis of California, typically an easygoing sort whose loyalties are torn between GOP leaders and the powerful Appropriations Committee. He tore into the Democrats for skipping "any prior debate whatsoever and ... the opportunity to offer even one amendment on the floor."
This would be the spending bill they should have passed last session but didn't:
House Appropriations Committee Chairman David Obey countered that the bill is simply "the last remaining legislation that needs to be passed to clean up the mess left to us by the past Congress."

Senate Republicans declined to put any real effort into passing eight of 11 spending bills before the November election and didn't try at all afterward.
It's truly breathtaking: they're whining because the Democrats won't let them amend a bill they could have had their way with if they hadn't gone off in a snit after the elections.

Verily, these are gods among whiny-ass titty babies. They reside in a parallel dimension beyond hypocrisy, where entitlement is everything and consistency dare not speak its name. Bow down before them, and snicker.

[That's all, folks]
