5,000 Comments

I'm a little late with this--about a week late--but we hit 5,000 comments sometime last Friday. It's hard to tell which comment was number 5,000 (I think it was Ahab, but it might have been Lettuce or Bird Girl), but the point is that we hit some kind of a milestone.

The life of a blog is in its comments. Thanks to all of you who comment here for keeping this place alive.
