Republican: the Other White Meat

I thought I'd scrape up a post from the bottom of the blogging barrel this morning, so I headed straight over to NRO's The Corner. Sure enough, the top post there, by neoconservative hate-monger and regular contributor to the likes of the Wall Street Journal Mark Steyn, perfectly fit the bill:

If Alabama has any more of these creatures, they might usefully loose them in the "insurgent" neighborhoods of Baghdad - the pig, that is, not the sixth grader who took him down:

Meet Monster Pig. An 11-year-old Alabama boy used a pistol to kill a wild hog his father says weighed a staggering 1,051 pounds and measured 9-feet-4 from the tip of its snout to the base of its tail. Think hams as big as car tires.

"It feels really good," Jamison, of Pickensville, said in a telephone interview... He said he shot the huge animal eight times with a .50-caliber revolver and chased it for three hours through hilly woods before finishing it off with a point-blank shot.

If you're hunting from out of state, just don't expect to get a cab at Minneapolis Airport when you take your kill back home.

Get it? Some kid killed a wild pig in Alabama. "'Insurgents'" and presumably many cab drivers in Minneapolis are Muslim. Islam prohibits pork. The humor comes in when you recognize that we Americans hate Muslims and everything about their reprobate religion. It's a real knee-slapper, no?

But wait, here's a better one: George W. Bush read Mark Steyn's recent book, America Alone, a bloodthirsty, apocalyptic analysis of their beloved war on terra, and...wait for it...he liked it so much he recommended it to all his staff and friends!
