Sunday morning, after we checked out, we headed out toward Point Reyes with no particular destination in mind beyond a general idea of doing a not-too-strenuous stroll somewhere in the general area. After some discussion we settled on the Estero trail, then got to the turnoff and...the road was closed.
So we decided to check out the Bull Point trail. We set out from the trailhead on a dirt track that vanished after a quarter mile or so. We spotted a single-track trail heading south, and followed that for a ways. As it turns out, this was on the opposite side of Creamery Bay from the actual Bull Point trail. If I actually cared about doing the actual trail, I would probably be bummed; but the trail we did hike was lovely in its own right, so I've got no problem with that.
