Breaking: Historical Verdict Rendered

Noted humanist Victor Davis Hanson -- a deep thinker President George W. Bush last year awarded a National Humanities Medal -- has rendered his historical judgment on the phenomenon that is the presidential candidacy of Democratic Senator Barack Obama, of Illinois:

...[T]he Obama campaign in mid-February...became the new generation's pet rock.
The National Humanities Medal "honors individuals or groups whose work has deepened the nation’s understanding of the humanities, broadened our citizens’ engagement with the humanities, or helped preserve and expand Americans’ access to important resources in the humanities."
