Governor Patrick issued the Focus on the Family National Day of Prayer Task Force a proclamation citing the Task Force's "theme" Prayer! America's sword and shield. Click here to view the proclamation.

Suggested Action: Inform Governor Patrick that the National Day of Prayer Task Force excludes Jewish, Muslim, Catholic, Buddhist and even mainline Christian clergy from participating in the observances it holds. Request that Gov. Patrick issue another proclamation and a statement calling for clergy of diverse faith traditions to participate in any observances the National Day of Prayer Task Force holds on public property.
