And if the Democrats were wise, they would put President Bush on record in this case because it would split the Republicans. Don’t let him get off with: it’s a local issue. The question is: Are there constitutional, i.e., national issues, in the arrests? Many fundamentalists see themselves in the FDLS case. They think Bush is their friend, and Bush is hiding behind the local issue, but if relgious rights are being stepped on, shouldn’t he be speaking up? This is Bush’s Waco if properly pinned on him.
