Fascinating, Go Read

I'm late to link to this fascinating Lance Mannion piece on Sims and what happens when a "romance Sim" marries a "family Sim" (hint: adultery possibly followed by divorce) but its just stunning and thought provoking for me as an anthropologist, as a parent, and as a battlestar Gallactica fan. Ever thought about what happens when a being that is programed to look for X, marries a being that is programed to look for Y? I never thought about people this way, but once you do you start thinking about all the people in your own life whose marriages should have been greeted by Sylvia's Love Cop "Your bumpersticker says "I break for Unicorns" and his says "Proud Member of the NRA you are *so* not meant for each other."
