I'm All Choked Up

TPM has the dueling "Army Wives" spots for McCain and Obama. I wonder what the original series Mrs. McCain thinks about the fact that McCain watches "Army Wives" with the new series wife? There's something a bit creepier in McCain's ad than just his zombie delivery and the naked pitch to those TV watching broads--the creepiest part is when he truthfully admits that there's no way the American People will ever bother to honor or help those real world Army Wives waiting for their loved ones to return. He says he's sobered and humbled by the thought of our indifference to our soldiers and veterans--shouldn't he be shocked and horrified and, you know, doing something about it?
