In the Invalides there's a museum that might have been designed just for me: a collection of meticulously-detailed relief models of fortifications and strategic towns, created for military purposes between about 1700 and the early 19th century. This is Chateau d'If, best known for having housed (in fiction, at least) Edmond Dantes.
