Over at Pandagon, Pam Spaulding mentions the declining housing market in the U.S., and she touches on the question of what will happen to the nation's idiot-mansions*—both those whose occupants can no longer afford them and the unaffordable ones still being built.
If all of this puts the economy in a tailspin, that's very bad … but every cloud has a silver lining. If the market for idiot-mansions goes away, then presumably, they'll eventually stop building the stupid, ugly things and desecrating the land with them. Just think: all the overpaid, good-for-nothing corporate assholes might have to rejoin the human race. I'd live in a tent for a few months to see that happen.
*Most people call them "McMansions." I call them idiot-mansions. If you have to ask why, you wouldn't understand.
[That's all, folks]
