Take the Pinheads Bowling

300 Room Detail

When we lived in Ohio--that is, when I was <=4 years old--our mother was in a bowling league. Kids tend to universalize their own experience, and in particular their experience of gender roles (for a long time I thought all men drank coffee, and all women drank tea), so naturally when I was very young I thought of bowling as something women did.

Apparently, I was wrong. Not only is bowling the manliest sport ever; it's also an important qualification for the presidency.

Who knew?
