The New York Supreme Court rejected a challenge to the state's marriage laws; Georgia's Supreme court reinstated an anti-gay marriage initiative that had been invalidated by a lower court.
It sucks, but it's not the end of the story. According to the Times story, Eliot Spitzer--probable next governor of New York--has pledged to push marriage equality if elected. The homobigots are fighting a rearguard action; public opinion is moving toward supporting marriage equality, and all they can do is delay it.
[That's all, folks]
